Diablo, Starcraft go handheld?
Blizzard considers options.
Fancy a bit of handheld Starcraft? Or how about portable Diablo II? Well, Blizzard is very much interested in your answer judging by the developer's latest newsletter.
It asks readers if they'd consider buying a Nintendo DS or Sony PSP version of Diablo II, providing a wireless multiplayer feature was included.
And Blizzard also wants to know if there's demand for Starcraft on the DS - but there's no mention of a PSP version.
So although nothing's been officially announced yet, it seems Blizzard is at least considering developing games for the handheld market. Course, they've published GBA titles before - namely The Lost Vikings, Blackthorne, Rock 'n' Roll Racing and The Lost Vikings - but those games were ported from oldies by US studio Mass Media.

hmmm.
/orders another 2000 DS handhelds.
On the DS perhaps, but the psp just doesnt have the controles to manage SC or D2! Remember SC on the n64? think even worse controles than that!

I would buy the GBA of RnRR version but I'm not sure if it keeps the cool music and voice stuff. maybe I should play it on the SNES emu instead as I've still got the original
I would definately buy SC DS though, hope they include a web based 4 player (at least) multiplayer and lots of new missions

What are you talking about? Starcraft is an, admittedly good, pretty standard RTS. Diablo is basically a genre of its own.

Starcraft is not an ordinary "pretty standard" RTS, it's the perfect RTS. No other game in this genre has ever come close to it, Warcraft III included.
Shut up, TA fanboys!
