Rainbow Six Vegas MP demo

Game now due next month.

Apparently there's some new console out in America today but at this point we're more interested in the news of a Rainbow Six Vegas multiplayer demo on Xbox Live.

It is indeed there, weighs in at 985MB and allows you to play in Attack and Defend and Terro Hunt modes. Attack and Defend involves a bomb in a casino, apparently, while Terro Hunt is a four-player co-op mode where you all work together to kill lots of terrorists.

It's available in all regions, happily, but you won't be able to download it to an Xbox Live Silver account until 24th November.

Incidentally, the full version of Rainbow Six Vegas is due out on 1st December alongside the PC version, and not on the 24th as previously planned.

The single player demo was very good. I was hoping that the multiplayer would be even better.

Can you play system link or split screen? Multiplayer is not all about online...

Does anyone know, or can anyone find out if the demo will allow you to have private slots? The SC:DA demo was pants for that reason.

Sounds good... will download later if GeOw is a no-show from Royal Mail. Single player was decent if a little bit weird in the controls area. Gotta love that rumble (recoil) on 360 shooters though. ;)

Demo is better than expected, IMHO. Frame rate fairly solid now, cover system works very well in practise, there's a good variety of equipment options in the demo, and when you get into a room without lots of lagged players, it's pretty good (tested up to 14).

However... If you /do/ get any lag, it totally breaks the game - people warping, empty rooms with persistant gunfire, sudden inexplicable deaths. Also, it feels a bit 'fuzzy' in some way - you'll not be getting any crisp headshots that were so good in Black Arrow. Not as shit as Lockdown, not as good as Black Arrow. It'll do.

The graphics in the demo, in my opinion, are fucking terrible. Gameplay is quite solid and the cover system works well.

Awesome game, had a few games on Attack/ Defend and enjoyed it. Definatly back on form from Lockdown and I'll be buying this. As already said, lag can ruin the game, but I experienced very little and there were always around 10 to 14 people in the room. I have a pretty fast Internet connection though so hardly ever get lag anymore. So it'll be a definate buy for me.

Wan't inspired by the demo, but I think it holds potential if you can get a good group together.

The map was a little confusing, and I got pwned basically.
Didn't impress nearly as much as the SP Demo.
