Lumines Live achievements News

Anticipation is building ahead the release of Lumines Live with the release of the list of Xbox 360 achievements offered in-game.

The list also arrives at around the time Tetsuya Mizuguchi said he thought the game would launch on Xbox Live Arcade. Speaking to us at Nordic Game in Sweden in September, he said it was down for "the middle of next month".

However, the release of achievement details may not be so telling, as a quick glance over the listing reveals that it's very much the same as the achievements listed in the E3 build of the game which we played in May.

Offering 200 points in total, in line with other Live Arcade titles, Lumines Live places most of its emphasis on Time Attack mode for earning gamerpoints, rewarding players for clearing a certain amount of blocks within a time limit. There are also rewards for securing certain points-scores (20,000, 500,000) and achieving a 250,000-point total in a single lap of the Skin Edit Mode. You can find the full list below.

As well as offering Lumines' block-busting gameplay in line with the PlayStation Portable original and forthcoming sequel (due out on 17th November in Europe), Live will allow for a certain degree of customisation in skins. When it was announced in May, the game was shown with a Madonna song and music-video background performing the role.

• 20 points: Time Attack 300sec: 300 blocks - Play Time Attack Mode 300sec. and erase 300 blocks.
• 20 points: Time Attack 600sec: 600 blocks - Play Time Attack Mode 600sec. and erase 600 blocks.
• 20 points: Half Million - Play Challenge Mode and score 500,000 points.
• 20 points: Single Lap Quarter Million - Play a Single Lap of the Skin Edit Mode and score 250,000 points.
