New Oblivion trailers on EG TV
See Elder Scrolls IV in action.
There's not long to go now until Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion arrives on PC and Xbox 360 - but while you're waiting, why not take a look at two new trailers? They're both on Eurogamer TV right now, don't you know.
RPG fans may also like to check out the new Dragon Quest trailer, which is really rather impressive. If you prefer your games with less fairies and elves and more murderous mobsters, we've also got some tips on how to bribe cops courtesy of The Godfather.
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is out in Europe on March 24th.

One question though for anyone who can help: Is it possible to switch between first and third person perspectives in this game, or is all the gameplay done from a first person view?

Still buying it (don't get me wrong) but that's one of the things I'd really really have liked to have seen consigned to the dustbin of last-gen.

Excellent. Never played Morrowind, and I wasn't so sure about the first person thing, but that's me sold for sure now.

don't like that at all and yeah should've been got rid off this gen

"the grass blurr in is bad
Yeah its shit isn't it
Do you perhaps mean, the grass blur is a bit odd and ever so slightly detracts from an otherwise storming vista?
I'm not saying your point isn't valid, just that I doubt its the sort of thing you would really notice when playing. Like in Farcry on PC, if you crack the GFX settings down the grass pop up become very noticeable, until you stop looking for it and then you just see a jungle.
I'm for overall immersion when it comes to graphics. Texture pallette choice is as important as bonkers shaders in that regard. I stop noticing the detail when I am given enough variety to amke me believe I am stood in a real forest, swamp, twon, whatever.

For the price of a groovy GFX card (and for considerably less than a top end PC upgrade) you could just buy an XB360. The overall graphical quality may (allegedly) be a little less than if your PC was of NASA spec, but frankly who will notice or care.
In hindsight, NASA are probably running P4 systems or something. Big organisations like that never have good PCs or new software

Yeah, I know it'll be out on PC too but 360 is the cheaper (not to mention, more straighforward) option.
Is there some guide for noobs who want to learn more about this game?

No one has that much info on it yet, but the official Elder Scrolls forums are a good place to start.
