Tecmo announces Rev title
And Monster Farm for PC.
Tecmo has confirmed its support for the Nintendo Revolution, announcing that a new instalment in the Pangya golf series will appear on the console.
The first Pangya title, which was developed by Korean developer Ntreev Soft, is an online golf game for the PC. Players are not required to pay a monthly fee, but must cough up to acquire better items in the game.
The Revolution version, which is tentatively titled Sukatto Golf Pangya Revolution, is set to launch on the same day as the console - whenever that may be. Tecmo has not revealed whether or not the game will feature an online element, or if it will make use of the freestyle controller, but both prospects seem likely.
Tecmo has also announced that Monster Farm Online will be heading to the PC by the end of the year. Once again, there will be no subscription fee, but you'll have the option to buy extra content online.
Tecmo is best known for producing the Dead or Alive series and Ninja Gaiden - so is there any chance we'll see those titles on the Rev, too? They're saying nothing for now, but here's hoping...

So even EG 'professional' writers confuse Tecmo and Team Ninja - great"
What's the difference? Team Ninja is a part of Tecmo, no?

If Tecno wanted they could put DoA in whatever system they want, they are the owners of the DoA in the first place.
Its unlikely DoA or Ninja Gaiden go for PC for the reason PC is not a very popular plataform in Japan and those games were developed with a controler in mind.
Of course Tecmo will follow the money like every publisher ... they are the biggest Xbox supporters in Japan but that does not changed the fact the Fatal Frame series end up in the PS2 and were released in the PS2 before that the Xbox version.
DoA is likely a XBox exclusive because it performed very poorly in the PS One and PS2 ...

DoA was not big, DoA and DoA2 were released on PS One and PS2 but DoA never stand up to the likes of Tekken or Soul Calibur.
Tecno moved DoA series for the Xbox because there was no other fighting series on it, making a PS2(or PS3) version of DoA would likely end in the same results that the previous 2 DoA titles.
Face it, Tekken becaming a Xbox exclusive would have a far bigger impact that DoA did.
As for being "pay off" ... that is stupid, Tecmo taken a great risk to support Xbox in Japan the way they did and in ways it pay off ... after all if you got a Xbox and nothing else your choice in fighting games is rather ... limited.
The whole "Microsoft pays off" is getting rather silly, how long we hear about Microsoft buying Nintento?
