Titan Quest expansion in 2007

Go to hell.

THQ has announced plans to release its first expansion for PC hackandslash Titan Quest in early 2007.

In development once again at Iron Lore Entertainment, Titan Quest: Immortal Throne will take players into the depths of Hades. Literally I mean, not metaphorically. Although aren't all games metaphors? And who are we? And what is the meaning of hats?

Brian Sullivan, president and lead designer at Iron Lore, says the expansion will aim to be in keeping with the "fast-paced, story-driven gameplay" of the original.

He also promises "eight new character classes, an entirely new epic underworld to explore, and dozens of other new features" for fans to enjoy.

And if you missed out on Titan Quest the first time (hard to imagine - it came in a shiny gold box) then why not read our review?

    w00t!

Any excuse to boot it up again. Top game, and I played it through 3 times - me, who never replays any games.

Hats...errr...Ah yes, people don't wear enough of them...

    Is this actually any good!?

I loved Diablo 2 if that helps?

People wear too many hats, just not the right kind.

Less baseball caps and more bowler hats would make the world a happier place. People in fezzes get extra awesome points.

Fantastic. The first one, though it had a few iggly niggly flaws, especially on the graphical front with slowdowns (On my machine atleast ._.) was freakin' amazing.

And 6 new classes? Like, whoa, another excuse to start multiple characters and get no where with them!

It's pretty much Diablo 2.5 in beautiful. In other words, it rocks. Hard. :)

Totally missed this when it came out, found it in a bargain bin and loved it. This is about as pure Diablo hack-and-slash you can find.

Who knows, going to Hades we might even meet Diablo!! :)

Tom did it again! Man, these are the only games related news found anywhere in the vast dungeons of internet that make almost laugh out loud. Good job!

In the bargain bin?! Still has a lot of shelf space in Germany, and costs full price.

This game is incredible, and only moreso when you play it co-operatively with a friend.

The new setting does rather look to be resolving the only issue that stopped Titan Quest from fully becoming the de facto Diablo 3. :)

For some reason I was totally non-plussed by Titan Quest.
Loved Dungeon Seige so I figured I'd try the demo of this - bored to tears...

Heh, just the opposite for me, loved Diablo 2, really couldn't stand Dungeon Siege at all, love Titan Quest to bits.

Single Player Titan Quest is great.....multiplayer on the other hand has a little bit too much 'early Diablo' for me...

Hacks, cheats and cracks galore unless you are playing with just a few friends.
