Jetpacks for Heroes and Villains
As well as festive missions, more.
NCsoft is planning a range of Christmas/holiday-season/other activities to see us through to the New Year/January/acceptable-variant in City of Heroes and City of Villains.
Operation Holiday Cheer and Operation Scrooge will introduce festive-themed missions, with special prizes available on both sides, but clearly the headliner is the addition of a free jetpack for all between now and January 2nd.
We're also told to expect a mysterious character called the Gamester to play pranks on both sides during the period.
Also in the meantime, NCsoft Europe's community staff will lead four separate assaults on each of the European servers to heat things up, which is presumably a good thing.
You can find more details on festive goings-on on the City of Heroes and City of Villains websites.

To clarify... Jetpacks fecking rock if you don't already have flight... If you do, its a bit pants really.
Although it does allow you to say the following line:
TEAM COMEDY JETPACK... ... AWAY!!!

Forget the game, lets start a thread on everyone's favourite jetpack moments. For my own submission, there were some great moments in that old Rocketeer film. And I'm sure Futurama had a prime example of jetpackish deploymentification or two in its archives.
