Kameo Power Pack released News

Xbox 360 News by Tom Bramwell

13 September, 2006

Still playing Kameo? Deliberately? Fair enough - then you might be interested to hear that the "Power Pack" has been released onto Xbox Live Marketplace.

It's 46MB in size, costs 400 Microsoft points (GBP 3.40), and consists of a new Expert mode, a Time Attack mode that can be played in co-op (providing you've downloaded the free co-op pack), and Rune Battle mode.

On top of that there are 15 new achievements, worldwide leaderboards and an armour costume pack, according to the Marketplace description.

For more on the Power Pack's contents, head to the game's official website.

I'm confused, someone explain to me, I thought each game was only allowed 1,000 gamerscore tops, Kameo already had that, so do these new achievements not have any gamerpoints assigned to them?

I downloaded this last night at 1am so I haven't had a chance to try it out. I would presume that the Achievements don't have any points attached to them though.

Give me strength. I've not played many more poorly designed games than this and their making more of it.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, and Eurogamer are entitled to their utterly wrong and retarded opinion of Kameo - an awesome and lovable game.

I thought I was going to hate Kameo. I liked it though. It was hard.

Still Rare really suck at character designs.

Rune Battle is Deathmatch to you and I. It's apparently really good fun! Nice to see Rare supporting their games a year after launch almost. Great for fans and business. Saves waiting 5 years for Kameo 2 to have it, eh?

Wish they would release a pack to add counter-op to perfect dark zero. It was rumoured at one time.

I don't understand the Eurogamer bashing of Kameo. I think they are wrong. I really enjoyed the game, but apparently both this and DOA 4 are around the same level as Rumble Roses XX and Dynasty Warriors 5 Empires.

Yes, I did need two edits to write this so perhapse I am not helping the Kameo cause.

Haha! Kameo sucked balls :D

Proof if it were needed that without Ninty to hold their hand, Rare can't do shit :)

Kameo is one of those oh so Rare games that pulls you in and makes you feel part of a beautifully designed world. It's great. It's also refreshing to play a game that doesn't beg for 'Urban' street cred and use swear words every 5 seconds.
I loved every minute of Kameo.
