Midway sued over Psi-Ops game
Screenwriter wants money.
Midway Games is being sued over its 2004 title Psi-Ops by a screenwriter who claims the character and plot were stolen from a script he wrote in 1998.
Both the game and screenplay feature government forces trained in psychic combat, with the lawsuit indicating that character details such as clothing, build and background are near identical.

Given that he registered his work first AND came into contact with Midway previous to the Psi-ops game, sounds like he may have a decent case. I'm no expert though obviously.

He has a pretty strong case... we're not disputing the general concepts because yeah, psychic soldiers and the like aren't really new or special. More, that the whole package is a little TOO similar to his work...
And yeah, Midway must be thinking "Oops!"
