Auto Assault beta weekend

In case you missed the other 79.

In case you haven't been involved in any of the other beta weekends, NCsoft is inviting MMO fans to have a go at its post-apocalyptic drive-about Auto Assault this weekend.

The open beta kicks off at 6pm on Friday and shuts down again at a minute-to-midnight on Monday, so there's plenty of time for you to work out if you like the cut of its pistons and what-have-you.

Full details are available through the game's European website, and the actual boxed one will be out this spring. See our Auto Assault game page for all sorts of info, including details of various pre-order incentives.

    its ok actually - fun for short bursts... Its come on alot graphically since 1 month ago.

    if you like MMO's and wanna try something different then maybe its what you are looking for....

    its free(for now), so try it :)

    I'm in the beta already and enjoying it. No framerate problems with an average PC (Athlon 64 + GeForce 6600). If you like driving and destroying everything around Carmaggedon style + MMOs, then you should give it a try.

    and we should all listen to you and not go try it out for ourselves right? Oh my god it's free and it's not going to do anything other than possibly entertain me but because some random, opinionated nimby on a comments thread said it's crap, I'm going to believe them and not give it a go.

    I am in the beta and I have to say that this is one of most refreshing games I have played for some time, a welcome change from the usual MMO dragons, ogres, imps and busty maidens. But that's just my take on it, at least someone's willing to try something different.
