New CSI game in spring

Telltale offers Hard Evidence.

Ubisoft has announced that another game in its CSI: Crime Scene Investigation adventure series, called Hard Evidence, will be with PC owners in spring 2007.

Developed by Telltale Games, authors (or perhaps perpetrators) of the 3 Dimensions of Murder instalment, Hard Evidence will join Gil Grissom, Catherine Willows and other members of the Las Vegas cast as they try and work out who's done whatever nasty thing's going on in this one.

Ubi's promising "forensic reconstructions and atmospheric crime scenes taken directly from the television show", as well as a new garage lab for analysing larger evidence like cars and boats and improvements in evidence-gathering, evidence review and lab mini-games.

We're also told this one is going to last longer than the others. Previous instalments have met with a tepid reception, but that hasn't stopped the series accumulating more than 2.4 million sales worldwide - the real villain there, we suspect, being the ongoing popularity of the TV show and its spin-offs. Where are those meddling kids when you need them?
