Halo graphic novel preview News

Xbox Xbox 360 News by Ellie Gibson

13 June, 2006

Anyone looking forward to the Halo graphic novel might like to head over to Marvel.com right now.

That's because you can now enjoy a preview of the graphic novel - or "comic", as they used to be called in our day - online. You have to register for the site, but it's free and doesn't take too long.

As reported back in March, the Halo comic will weigh in at 128 pages and is set to feature a host of characters and weapons familiar to fans. It's being worked on by French comic book artist Moebius, along with the likes of Phil Hale, Ed Lee, Tsutomo Nihei and Jay Faerber, plus Bungie's own art team.

The Halo graphic novel is due out in the US this July, with further Marvel/Bungie products to follow.

I hope you've read the three 'novels' then, they are essential reading for Halo fans.

1 - The Fall of Reach
2 - The Flood
3 - First Strike

(can't remember the exact order of them now)

All 3 over at Amazon;

Frumper - thanks for the link, but I have read the novels. I played the two games and read the three novels in the space of the last three and a half weeks! I'd never even finished an FPS before, so you can tell I must have enjoyed it.

I'm not impressed with that art in the slightest - reminds me of Hewlett and Martin's work, and while that's OK for Tank Girl it isn't OK for Halo!

Cover is OK though, but that scientist - bleh.

Actually I take that back, some of it is WORSE than Tank Girl :/

God I hate having to sign up to things, just to be advertised to. I'm the customer here, I expect to be courted not made to jump through hoops.

But you're a Halo fan and you WILL jump through hoops.

Or jump off a bungie chord.

Ilmaestro; have you had a look at the Enkidu experience that Halo.Bungie.Org got a while back? My mate Steve did wonders with it, and everyone was convinced it was an official Bungie project:

I hadn't mate, but that looks quite impressive, thanks. I'll give it a proper look tomorrow.
