Desperados 2 demo News

PC News by Tom Bramwell

13 April, 2006

Atari's released a playable demo of Spellbound's second Desperados game, Cooper's Revenge. You can get it off the internet.

The 340MB English demo (there's also a German one) features a bit of the Eagle's Nest mission according to the developers.

Desperados, in case you can't remember, is basically Commandos-but-in-the-Wild-West. The second game allows you to get up close and third-personal with your characters.

There's also a spanglier 3D engine this time, and a new character - a chap called Hawkeye - as well as a system for pre-defining actions so you can enact more complex strategies with ease.

The full game is due out later this month.

Pre-defined actions sounds like a good idea. I like it.

Just tried it for a few minutes last night - the controls are very counter-intuitive. I'll have to give it another whirl, but I found it a bit confusing.
