Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction will be released in the US on 23rd October and in Europe this November, Insomniac's Ryan Schneider told Eurogamer today.

Separately, the game's product manager confirmed that a demo of the game will be released on PlayStation Network in the US and Europe on 4th October.

Although it's about the 78th game in the series, Tools of Destruction is something of an origins tale, which sees the popular PS2 heroes taking over Emperor Percival Tachyon's ship and journeying around the galaxy for their first PS3 adventure.

Yay. Just hope it turns out to be good. Will probably be my next PS3 game. Now I just need Level 5 to create a ps3 game and I will be happy :)

Level 5 is creating White Knight Story for PS3.

Yes sweet love the look of the weapon upgrades, very RPG like.

I'm getting a PS3 soon, but I'll be in America when Ratchet and Clank is released there, so I'll probably pick the game up there. Will the US version definitely play on a UK PS3? I haven't really read too much into the PS3 but I've heard it's region-free? Just want to be sure.

I am going to get this...eventually. When the PSthree (PS3 redesign, which you know they're gonna do) comes out, and the next Jak and Daxter game is ready.

Oh, and "about the 78th game in the series"? Let's count:

R&C, R&C2, R&C3, Gladiator, Size Matters, and ToD. And if you wanna be perfect, there's those two mobile phone games.

That's eight altogether. Did we all miss 70 R&C games, or is that a typo?
