Storm of War looms over PC
There may be some turbulence.
Ubisoft has announced a new game from IL-2 and Pacific Fighters developer Maddox Games, which is intended to be the first instalment in an entirely new franchise.
Heading onto PC in November, Storm of War: Battle of Britain lets you take to the skies in classic WWII planes, offering a selection of historical missions with single player, online co-op and multiplayer aerial combat modes.
We're promised a state-of-the-art flight simulator and scalable gameplay to ensure first time flyers can actually get off the ground to begin with. They're also making good use of a new 3D engine and damage model technology, so you can watch the bits fly off as the bullets tear your plane to pieces - just what every new pilot needs to experience.
More details as soon as we can pull the shrapnel out of our shins.
