Wouldn't it make sense to make a Lacrosse game? I hear it is the fastes growing sport in the US. OK, I'll put my money down for Lacrosse then. Aaaand... off-shore racing. Similar enough to F1, and I'm pretty sure the licence is available.

What sports do they not do? Possibly a tennis game, with all the players and officially licensed tourneys. Or is it going to be Tiger Woods Street?

Wow that's great news re: F1 because EA F1 games have always been pants. I thought the Sony F1 license expired last year and they elected not to renew it.

That is awsome news that Sony still hold the F1 license for a couple more years.
F1:Championship Edition was a great game and i hope Sony Liverpool go on and push it even further.

Suprised not to have heard any news on a new version from sony though. Hopefully with the new F1 season starting next weekend news of a new game will not be far behind.

The Only problem I have with Sony owning the F1 license is I don't have a PS3 and as much as I like F1, this is one of a rather limited number of games I would buy a PS3 for...

I think it is pretty easy to guess, the one sport they don't do and it's fairly popular is volleyball.
Let's hope it is not some crap about the olympics. Tennis could be ok i guess, i never like virtua tennis, top spin is ok but nothing more than ok.

I just wish they use some of their resources to give me a decent rugby game, i mean with the fifa engine it could really be a great game.

I agree - it may not have looked next-gen but was very smooth and played great on the PS3. It even recieved a update recenty and now support the Dual Shock 3 :)

f3rrari, combining the F1 license with Polyphony Digital would spawn a game whose only possible application could be as an insomnia treatment. Besides, have you seen the damage modelling in GT? Me either.

Where is the next Fight Night Game?? Hmm HMMM? I spoke to Amir Kahn back in 2006 and he said that EA had been talking to him about appearing in it?? Is it even on the cards?

One of the reasons I got a PS3 was for the F1 series, so it's been a huge disappointment for me not to see a 2007 game and for there to be no sign of a 2008 one.

The F1 license is a bit weird actually.

Teams are allowed to negotiate their own deals so EA could buy up 12 separate licenses for the teams and then pick up the necessary tracks. It couldn't be called an F1 game, but the term Grand Prix is a strong enough moniker. EA Sports Grand Prix any one?

Granted this is off old information so maybe FOM have sewn it up tighter these days but who knows?

Dear EA Sports,

Please give the Xbox360 version of NCAA 09 a European release. I promise I'll buy it.

Thanks

I work in F1, and I was pretty certain that Sony no longer owned the F1 licence. Think Sony signed a five-year deal in 2003 and that it expired following the release of F1: CE. I'd also heard that there was a separate deal out there licensing Lewis Hamilton into a racing game - although I'm not sure if it's directly related to F1.

So it does surprise me that Moore says no licence is available because it would seem like there is something available.

Still, let's hope EA doesn't make an F1 game because their last game on the PS2 was appalling...

If Sony signed a 5 year deal then they should have the rights to a game based on last season. I'd be happy with a patch updating the cars and drivers TBH. It's a shame they don't appear to be following up on F1: CE though as it was the best console F1 game since F1 '97 by some margin.

Has anybody picked up the international Dwarf Tossing license? What about topless darts, I'm sure that could use more exposure ;)
