RS6 Lockdown multiplayer demo

Xbox Live compatible too.

Ubisoft will be providing a multiplayer Xbox demo for Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Lockdown, exclusively via the September issue of Official Xbox Magazine.

Available about now, the multiplayer demo features The Harbor map in Retrieval mode for up to 12 players on Xbox Live, with the inclusion of Rainbow Six's new Persistent Elite Creation (P.E.C) mode, where players can choose from four operative classes (commando, engineer, spec op or combat medic) and create a customised, upgradeable character with class specific weapons and new combat skills.

Ubisoft has also been kind enough to allow gamers to play the demo as frequently as they like, while keeping their character data intact.

The squad-based tactical-action goodness that is Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Lockdown should be released worldwide on September 9th for Xbox, PlayStation 2 and GameCube.

Hey Eurogamer! Are you listening? If so, as a reader since the original design of the site I demand that you write something negative about this game whenever you mention it! As the defenders of good taste in gaming you should not let the dumbing down and total destruction of a fantastic series like Rainbow 6 happen unnoticed. This game seems to be about as far as possible from the wonderful first two (perhaps three) games in the series. :(

Played the demo last night. Will never play it again. It all started well, our team was doing great. Then a warning message was played through my headset. Im not sure what it was, something game-related, but it was played so loud it f*cking HURT.
"Jesus!" I yelped, tearing the headset off and throwing it away. (The little fluffy bit on the end is now lost)
    Assholes.
    Be carefull folks.

Rainbow Six has always had ducked up controls. Too many dead zones, aiming is only good at long distance.

hmm.. i wonder what's happened to the PC version?

between Battlefield 2, and whatever new incarnation of Flashpoint turns up first, any new R6 on the PC may have a hard time coping.

RS6? Isn't Lockdown the 4th in the series?
