Isometric GBA Rayman due in March
A fresh perspective for aspiring Hoodlum-bashers.
Rayman fans preparing for the quirky French creation's first DS outing may have to double the amount they scrape off their paycheque as news arrives this week that Ubi plans to launch a separate Game Boy Advance adventure during the same month.
Rayman: Hoodlums' Revenge is due out in March alongside Rayman DS and is being developed by the creators of 2001's acclaimed Rayman Advance. And in an interesting twist, the game will be played from an isometric viewpoint rather than the series' previous side-on 2D approach to handheld platforming.
Story-wise it picks up where Rayman 3 left off, with Globox experiencing a split personality, including an evil Globox, which the Hoodlum Army is trying to use to its advantage. You'll be able to control either Rayman or Globox or, again interestingly, combine their forces in a co-op mode.
Whether that means via link cable or just using them both as a lone player remains to be seen, but along with the isometric perspective it's another interesting development. Having quite enjoyed Rayman 3 and his recent handheld endeavours, we'll be keeping a close eye on this one as we close in on its release.

Still... we don't see enough isometric stuff these days. I'll be taking a look once you fix the screenies.

I am, worried that it won't play as a great "platform" game.
