RS Vegas patch details

Due out soon.

Ubisoft has detailed what people can expect from a Rainbow Six: Vegas patch due out in the near future.

The developers hope that the patch, due to go out through Xbox Live in auto-update fashion, will deal with some of the issues widely reported by the young game's audience since its release.

Still, they can't have hurt it too much, since Kristan gave it a big thumbs-up just a few days back.

For the full list of changes, which mostly focus on multiplayer, head to the Ubi.com forum.

On the subject of patches, I hope they patch COD3 soon, it can be hard to join a large game, I can't join a ranked game for love nor money.

I'm STILL waiting for my PRE-ORDER copy from HMV... this sucks :/

Ubisoft are getting really sloppy. Finish the game ffs! Spit and polish is sorely lacking in their titles espicially the annoying ones like v-sync and framerates.

News just in: proper game testing now considered unfashionable.

There's no good reason for these console games going out in this state really.

    Tis a disgrace

Microsoft simply have to stop games getting released in a shoddy state then fixed at a time when the developer can be bothered. If a game isn't ready for release then it shouldn't be released! It's as simple as that.

I don't mind patches that enhance a game, but NOT patches which fix broken bits as games should never have shipped in such a state in the first place.

For everyone complaining about the patch, nearly all the fixes are for the multiplayer game and it's very difficult to fully test a multiplayer game unless they do a Halo3 style beta release (which I don't agree with).
In fairness to Ubisoft they have a great focus on online and were very quick to release fixes and some of the stuff added is based on user feedback which is nice of them too.

Good, I hope my Xbox is back by the time they roll out the patch. Not that my copy from Play Asia has arrived or anything.
