Still no X360 for Ballmer

Or his kids.

Steve Ballmer's going to have to buy his own Xbox 360 the same as everyone else, the Microsoft CEO joked at a recent meeting.

"The Ballmer children do not have their Xbox 360 yet. I'm in the same boat as many of you," Reuters reports him telling a meeting of technology executives.

"Thanks to the wonders of Sarbanes-Oxley, management does not get a free Xbox 360," he joked - a reference to the post-Enron legislation enacted in 2002 to try and sort out corporate crime.

Under those rules, Ballmer could only receive a 360 as actual income. Which begs the question, is he going to stiff his kids and get a Core System?

News of when the elusive second shipment of Xbox 360s to retail - US retail even - has yet to materialise. If Ballmer was really into the whole thing of course, he could fly to Japan and queue up tomorrow night - the 360 launches there on Saturday.
