Vicarious Visions handling Xbox DOOM III News

Vicarious Visions will be handling the Xbox port of DOOM III according to Id Software's Todd Hollenshead speaking to EG at Activate 03 last week. We think this is "known", but we thought we'd mention it anyway as we couldn't remember hearing it.

Vicarious Visions are also doing the Xbox Trinity.

Publisher Activision recently stated that they were pencilling DOOM III in for Q1 2004, although they also said that Id Software had full control over when the game appeared.

DOOM III was certainly in evidence at Activate, and it looked very pretty. Kristan even caught a physics presentation, and he'll be writing up his thoughts on the game very soon.

Unless Doom III on Xbox turns out to be sprite-based with an isometric view. And your marine on a skateboard. :-)

Trinity - I'm sure i remember that name from YEARS ago, before HL was released and there was all that fuss about all the big new games about to come out (Trinity, sin, max payne, HL).

Blimey. No longer with console wars, now we've got 'my game is better than yours'. Get them both - Doom 3 and HL 2. My money's on them both being cracking games.
