Jade Empire coming to PC
Complete with fancy new stuff.
BioWare has confirmed that a PC version of hit Xbox fighter Jade Empire is on the way.
It'll feature all manner of exciting new visual effects, high resolution support, new combat styles and a new world map system. You can also expect to be facing off with a whole new range of enemies, all of whom are likely to be a bit clever thanks to enhanced AI.
BioWare has yet to announce when the game will arrive, but in the meantime you might like to take a look at the official website.

The combat system was so-so, but for the rest, it was just fine. The characters where very sterotypical (positive imo) and the interaction with them was very nice & the storyline was solid. The music was brilliant and the art was refreshing.

Plus the little girl possessed by the demon is cool.
How could you resist a character called "hen-pecked ho"

I'd call myself a 'real' RPG-player (Baldur's Gate, Morrowind, Oblivion...back to the days of Ultima Underworld) and I absolutely loved Jade Empire on the xbox. I don't have one - it was only a loan - but now I'll get to play it again
:-D

Been waiting to play this for a while, secretly hoping they'd PCify it. Give us more stats, I'm going to grow a real beard!

Didn't Bioware swear high and low there was never going to be a port of this?

I thought Jade Empire was nice, but was far too linear and not nearly epic enough in scope. I know they were trying to do something a bit different, but Bioware seem to steadily be moving away from the style of RPGs I most enjoy, namely BGI and II, planescape, Fallout etc.

No character customisation, slender story line and dreadful 'Jump over head, counter' combat all made for a pretty poor game. I spent the first hour going 'oooh, pretty...' and the subsequent 4 hours saying 'ok....whens it going to kick in.......'.
