Join America's Army again

Oh go on, they've updated it and everything!

Popular US Army recruitment tool America's Army has reached version 2.0 absolutely stuffed to the gills with new kit, much of which we won't pretend to understand. The lengthy and detailed list of changes is available here.

Highlights seem to be the new Special Forces class available for players who can complete the requisite training, and the class comes the SOPMOD M4 Carbine which players are able to full customise with a variety of scopes, sights and grenade launchers and stuff. SF players will also have access to the SPR (Special Purpose Rifle) and Thermite Grenade. The game also features a new Indigenous Forces class, useful in assisting Green Berets during combat. New weapons for that class include the RPG-7 and the AKS-74U assault rifle. Fnally, the new version adds six new maps to the game; four multiplayer and two single player maps for Special Forces training.

You can pick up the enormous 651MB full installation of America's Army 2.0 from 3D Gamers here, or make use of the 223MB upgrade from version 1.9.0. Hup hup hup!
