Half-Life 2: Ep 2 vids
Three of them.
As you'll know if you've been keeping score, Valve has released a trio of new gameplay videos showing off the sorts of things you'll be getting up to in Half-Life 2: Episode Two next year.
They're all available now on Eurogamer TV. Look! One, two and three.
And while I'd love to tell you what's in them, I'm not going to because I don't want to spoil anything - for me or you.
The full game, which will be bundled with Portal and Team Fortress 2 on Steam for the PC, and released as part of a bundle that also includes Half-Life 2 and Episode One on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, is due out in the first quarter of next year.
February, they told us at Leipzig - but obviously that's subject to change.

@gazareth: Given that it's quite an obvious problem likely to be faced by many XBox owners, it is highly likely Valve will address it. Especially when they make their episodes stand-alone, when a few lines of code could have forced millions to buy/retain their HL2 installations just to play Episode 1. Valve are not Evil!! I'm hoping the PC and 360 versions will be released, then the PS3 version will follow when the machine is released.

Imagine if Sony paid Valve enough money to make it PS3 exclusive?
*shudder*

I thought it was Q1 now?
Frankly, I think they should forget this simultaneous launch bollocks. Feels like a bit of a kick in the teeth for PC owners who were told we were getting episodic releases every six months.

If the game ships for all formats on the day the PS3 comes out, we can probably assume it's been finished for a while, and even PC owners got screwed by the whole date-slipping debacle.

half life 2, epsiodes 1 & 2, team fortress 2 and portal all on one disk for xbox360 (PS3) too... that has got to be some value for money that (just as long as they don't charge £60 quid that is!)
