Full-length LA Noire trailer

More to go on this time.

Rockstar and Team Bondi have released a full-length trailer for LA Noire, their upcoming next-gen crime thriller on its way to PlayStation 3 and possibly other consoles at some point in the future.

You can watch it now on Eurogamer TV, and although it looks like CG to us it should give you an idea of what to expect in terms of content and atmosphere, with the music and graphical approach in particular worthy of note.

LA Noire, of course, is under the direction of The Getaway creator Brendan McNamara, who departed Sony shortly after that game's completion and set up Team Bondi to work on games for PlayStation 3. Rockstar has yet to confirm formats or a release date for LA Noire, but it's expected to complete its journey to PS3 and probably Xbox 360 as well.

    I'm disappointed it's CG-only, but I do like the style - especially the washed out colours.

    I just hope it's not just "GTA Retro" and hope even more that it's not "The Getaway Retro". Gimme a decent detective game, god damn it.

    Agreed. Although GTA Retro would be worse than The Getaway Retro, but I agree with your general sentiment. :)

    reminds me of Mafia for PC which is still on my HD, hopefully it'll be more like that than GTA.

    (btw EG really should have given it (Mafia) to someone with some taste to review :p)

    looks great, fingers crossed it's not a PS3 exclusive.

    Totally fed-up of pure-CG "trailers" and "previews" - it's a trend on all the next gen for the first two or three things you see to be just that and next to nothing else.

    It's getting very tiresome indeed.......

    The Getaway = one of worst games ever. I bought it for 4 quid and still felt violated.

    @Carpathian - couldn't agree more.

    The Getaway > GTA.

    @Carpathian

    Well, don't watch them, then. The alternative is to see nothing at all, because the real thing most likely isn't developed enough to show it.

    The Getaway > GTA.

    You crazy Germans crack me up! ;-)

    Will it be as good as Discworld Noir?

    Glad to see EG are putting this warning in every time they mention his games.

    Lambtron, if you want to witness true shite play or rather try and play the Getaway 2, worst character models ever seen, sony should hang there head in shame. There should read thier of course, still pants.

    How come everyone's so sure its CG?

    Looks to me like something the PS3 could handle.

    Actually the guys at 1up, or some podcast, said the guys making this know of the shortcomings of the Getaway and plan on remedying them in any similar future games. The Getaway was a fantastic Idea, and I enjoyed it, but it certainly had it's problems.
