Methinks this is a wind-up. Come on, anyone notice the massive amount of BS he's talking? I reckon this is a dig at EA sports and the like. "Due to high resolutions, we can deliver a game that's more visceral..." what?

it's a nice idea, and a brave risk
however, why put the emphasis on graphics, anime and physics to 'reach new level of gameplay', when they could malke it on Revo and put everything on the control. it's not logical

If you go to that extent you may as well just play table tennis in real life? I'm still to be convinced that the rev controller will be suitable enough to replicate accurate play of something like table tennis.

There's no reason why a table tennis game couldn't be fun. I enjoy tennis games and this would be even more frantic.

What a waste of time. For 30 pounds you can buy a couple of rackets and balls, and go find a REAL table.

They should stick with what they do best, free roaming ACTION.

At least it on the Xbox, so who cares about it wanyway...

i'm guessing the devs were mucking around with the new devkits to see what was possible and they had half a game by the time they were done and thought 'fuck it, someone might buy it'

I'd just like to thank Scientist for introducing me to the phrase "wizards sleeve" you have made my day.

On the game, well, I always found ping pong to be fun so it could be good. A games a game is what I always say. No point in confining yourself to genres (*looks at certain people*).

Excellent, some back to basics gaming for once? With costs spiralling out of control and only major licenses looking likely to be making any money in future this had to happen sooner or later. For the good in my opinion. Just need some decent 2D side scrolling platformers with gorgeous big sprites and we're laughing :)

Why the negativity? "oh its not got guns and tits so its gonna be rubbish" is the opinion I've heard a few times already, its that sort of thinking that pushes genuinely exciting and original titles to one side.

hey what if there's a hot... ok it's been done. Twice.

This looks interesting. Since i don't think they can really hope to sell it on just having fancy graphics or bling or stuff, they'll be forced to focus on the core of the game and maybe something special will happen. What they learn about character animation/control will be useful for GTA.

That said, it probably won't beat real table tennis.

I love table tennis, and finally someone is putting in a decent effort in emulating the game . The problem is, for roughly a quarter of the price of a next gen console, you can get a nice enough table and two rackets and balls, clear up a little space, and you are good to go!!! ;-)

In any case, Rockstar? I bet the game will feature all sorts of shady, sleazy characters and there will be a lot of under-the-table dealing.

By the way, head to www.teagames.com for a susprisingly good TT game and of course, a laugh.

Actually table tennis was MADE for the revolution, Nintendo probably have summat up their sleeves already.
