RoboBlitz will be this Wednesday's 8am GMT addition to Xbox Live Arcade, says Microsoft, after all we got last week was a patch for Texas Hold 'em. Cheapskates.

Developed by Naked Sky and already out on PC, RoboBlitz is an Unreal Engine 3 title that mixes puzzle-solving and action as the titular Blitz tries to activate a space cannon to save his world from pirates.

It'll be physics-driven, apparently, and believe it or not Naked Sky has managed to cram the lofty technology into a 50MB file-size, although the cost is a bit heftier than usual too - with 1200 Microsoft points (GBP 10.20 / EUR 13.96) the asking price.

Look out for a RoboBlitz review in the near future.

Played it on PC, can't imagine the XBL version being much, if at all better.

I played the PC demo and didn't think much of it actually. If they had stuck to making a puzzling platform game derived around the physics engine it would probably have worked. However they have tried to make it a combat game using the physics engine for fighting, and in my opinion it just hasn't worked at all.

Played it on Steam - It's a moderately entertaining diversion for $14.95 (about �8), but the 50MB target probably explains the mediocre model detail and textures. Don't expect a Gears of War style graphical treat, the Unreal Engine ain't magic.

Will definetly try out the demo. 1200 sounds like something that could be worth my while. Although I doubt it. XBLA has yet to see a game worth of 1200 points. But I have my hopes up for Mad Tracks (or Trax? Don't know)
