E3 2007 Line-ups
Latest: Squenix, Konami, SEGA.
Eurogamer will be out in force at E3 this year, and, in order to save on petrol, Eurogamer will be out in fours at E3 this year. The event itself is smaller than usual, but with publishers spread throughout the beachfront hotels in Santa Monica, there's still an awful lot to vie for our attention.
With that in mind, we've put together this handy list of all the announced line-ups, and some that we've cobbled together ourselves by ringing people up and going, "No no, we don't want to change our appointment again!" to lull them into a false sense of security, before clicking "RECORD" and stealing their lists. Journalism, bitch.
You'll notice a few gaps. Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony are all keeping quiet ahead of their respective conferences, so all we've been able to fill in is stuff we've gleaned from other announcements and subsequently confirmed. Others, meanwhile, simply haven't said anything yet. And of course bear in mind that once the show starts all bets are off. Anyway, that's us disclaimed - enjoy the patchwork.

I actually came here to meh, but there are quite a few things on that list that I'd be interested in seeing. Curses! Foiled again!

it has, in Sci's financial statement a few months back (check eurogamers older articles), guess they'll only show the 360/PC versions at E3

Looking forward to seeing Guitar Hero 3 (freakin' DLC please!); Rock Band (shaping up great!); Burnout Paradise; and Mass Effect.
I'll look into a few others like that Jenga game for the Wii and Bioshock even though we know loads about it already.

Instead we'll probably get shameless Shite Wars tie ins.
Edit : Although if its an X-wing/Tie Fighter game I'd eat my hat.

Still expect them to give a strong presence but as it is not like E3 of old, where they do excessive PR and spin (Killzone 2, Motorstorm in '05?!) to make converts out of gamers and media. This time mostly for their own peers and limited audience so would not be suprised if they would be much more quieter.
Will be watching E3 updates next week and hoping Sony will put demos and video clips on their store as X360 will have, they need to give PS3 and PSP owners better buzz.

Yeh but on which platforms?
I think Sony will be light on games but will announce a price cut for the PS3... in the USA only, and a new version of the PSP... in Japan.

That's what you'd call a clerical error on my part.
Basically a lot of publishers were able to confirm games but not the specific format-versions likely to be shown. In all probability we'll see, for example, a lot of PC/360 games only shown on one of the two formats. It doesn't mean they're not making the other, or even that it's behind on production, but in terms of demonstrations it's simpler for them to manage.
And in the current environment, where we're often told the formats are very close together in terms of performance, I guess it makes sense on that front too, as they'll frequently insist, gripping a 360 pad, that the experience will be indistinguishable.

A publisher that wants to do away with the arrogant, self righteous and shitty publishing deals that are around now. One of their policies i.e. is that the dev keeps the right to the IP. They are the guys behind GOD (2k now i believe).

I've been saying that for at least a year now. E3 has the chance to change that monotonous repetition!
Surprises I hope show up: Something new from team Ico, Nintendo aren't showing MP 3, they've already shown Mario Galaxy, and SSBM has it's own blog. Leads me to believe we'll be shown some surprises- new Pilotwings game, ya?

And Haze, and Heavenly Sword, and Ratchet and Clank, and Uncharted....

Still it's not exciting when there are no real people going. I suspect that the big 3 will realise this pretty soon after the event. Only Microsoft are making a real effort to involve their 360 users with demo's and videos of the event.
Comment below viewing threshold Show
And I don't see why MS would keep quite about that. I mean, it was playable (barely) last year at E3.

As far as he knew there weren't plans for them being at E3. Hell, its barely even known now. EG didn't find evidence of them being at it. Did you read the link in my post?

Warhawk, Ratchet & Clank, SOCOM, Eye of Judgement, Uncharted, Killzone, Singstar, Little Big Planet, Heavenly Sword, Lair, NBA 08.
Sony are the 3rd biggest developer in the world not including collaborations!. Another mysterious article from eurogamer.
Comment below viewing threshold Show
It would also be in the industry's interest.
As long as the three major consoles are called "next gen", there is an implication that there still is a "current gen" consisting of the PS2, Gamecube and XBox. And the only one of those three you can actually buy in stores is the (still going strong) PSTwo. Not to mention all the old PS2 owners selling their old work-horses second hand to buy a PS3.

MS are publishing some of the best(or atleast biggest if we are going to be subjective) games around these days IMO, theyve come along way in that respect in terms of quality and quantity. I do think MS is shaping up to be one of --if not-- 'the' best 1st party publisher/devs(provided all these promising games turn out as good as they look and sound). Nintendo have to be above Sony on that list surely? Id like to see where people are getting this information from, having said that its all meaningless to me when I cant find much in that list of Sony published games to get excited about(well from what Ive seen so far of them anyway).
