Settlers II remake demo

Those of you excited about Ubisoft's upcoming 3D remake of The Settlers II can now download a demo - providing you can put up with it being in German.

Available now, the 200MB demo has yet to be translated for those of us who didn't bow out of the World Cup honourably last night.

It features a tutorial level and a demo map, where the idea is to help the Romans build a settlement on a small Pacific island. There's a one-hour play-limit on the demo.

The full version, called The Settlers II: 10th Anniversary, will also feature a random map generator and multiplayer in addition to a ten-mission campaign mode. You can read more about it and find some screenshots elsewhere on the site. And we've got a trailer. Crikey eh?

The Settlers II: 10th Anniversary is due out in Q3.
