Tomb Raider demo on Live
Plus themes and pics.
Eidos has released a playable demo of Tomb Raider: Legend over Xbox 360 Marketplace to go with the PC one released earlier this week.
There's also an exclusive trailer and various themes to customise your box, with a selection of picture packs of Lara and, inevitably, Mrs. Real Lara Croft Karima Adebibe.
Legend's due out on PC, PS2, Xbox and Xbox 360 this Friday. Eidos has also announced GameCube and PSP versions in development.

There seems to be a patern emerging with the XBL demos. They all get released about four days later than they are meant to be.

Oh for gawds sakes, give em a break.
All you ever see on these boards recently is people either bitching at EG for review scores, posting news late, or (now) posting news early!!
Either that, or bitching at me for being a fanboy of whichever company im defending at the moment!

MajorNelson is always the best place to check a story about something on Live.

I can't find anywhere on the dashboard where you can select to use them.
I was hoping there'd be a demo, I'll download it as soon as its actually up.

Actually, a more reliable occurrance is to hear people complain about people complaining...

However I was expecting to see much higher scores from official Xbox and PS2 mags which have given it roughly 8/10.
Will it tear me away from Oblivion - doubtful!
Also, would it not be a good idea to get these demos up earlier - the game is out in a couple of days?

Saying that if the game sucks then there's no rush in getting out the demo - just let people get swayed by the hype first and buy the game in their droves. Or just try out the PC demo.

Anyway, it's still not up, though presumably this news story edges closer to being accurate every second that goes by

However it's always possible that the 360 version has been delayed.

Still no demo on live yet though - just the trailers.

Only thing I didn't check was if the disc was in it, but then I don't think the people behind the counter would appreciate breaking the warrant seal to see if there's a disc in the box (which it obviously should be).
I'm not stupid, I can tell the difference between a dummy box and an actual box.

It's the same tactic I go by for PS3 lol - believe it when I see it.

Seriously, and not blatantly-stealing-Pythony, it would be nice if the news story was in the right tense. However, the horse armour debacle requires more attention I feel.

I would suggest they set up an alert that would warn you mid game (or perhaps to your mobile phone) that the demo you were interested in was now live.
However I fear it might open the floodgates to a whole world of unrequested shite.

'James 360' does indeed have the 360 version, lucky begger.

So it's not "good old Tomb Raider", but a "good new" Tomb Raider.
Great fun. Definately more fast paced and worked out. I will be grabbing this one..

Sure, there are still some camera issues there but on the whole it feels pretty solid.
It's probably one of the hardest thing to get right in this type of game.
