Bone price cut to $12.99
Per episode.
Developer Telltale Studios, currently working on a Sam & Max game, has cut the price of its flagship Bone adventure series to $12.99 per instalment.
Bone, which is being developed episodically, will be sold through Telltale's digital distribution channel for $12.99 "to align with current models in other entertainment media".
As well as being the new price for Bone Act 2: The Great Cow Race, due out later this month, the new price point will be applied to the initial episode, Out From Boneville, which is still available.
"We will expand the audience for games enormously by setting a price that competes directly with DVDs, music CDs, books and cable television," said Dan Connors, CEO of Telltale, Inc.
The Great Cow Race continues the adventures of Fone Bone and his cousins as they head to Barrelhaven county fair, where the titular cow race is held.

I hate this. The characters and the world are magnificent, but if the game doesn't challenge me at all, I just feel bored. I understand the developer doesn't want to turn off new players by making the game too difficult, but this has gone to the point where I (as an adventure gamer) don't want to play the game, because it's too easy.
Well, the best thing about episodic content is that the series can improve on the way. Maybe they'll add some challenge to the later episodes when they can expect their players to know a bit more.

A better system IMO is a base price of somewhere around $15 dollars, with each additional installment being around $2-3 or something. That way you'd end up paying about the same as normal game retail price (and of course telltale are saving a lot without publishing costs etc.)
