WOW - a brand new patch

And it's now on Eurofiles.

Blizzard has released a new patch for hugely popular MMORPG World of Warcraft - and it's now available for download via Eurofiles.

The main feature of patch 1.9 is Ahn'Qiraj, a new instance in Silithus that houses two massive new dungeons. The patch also introduces the Linked Auction House System, and puts an end to multiple battleground queues. Full details are can be found on the Blizzard website.

    I'm so glad I got rid of my paladin and stopped playing.

    Their big update was laughable, they should just rename the class to "cleric" and stop all the people who want to play a warrior which can heal like a Paladin is in every other game. Any Pallies still playing have my sympathies.

    Seems OK so far except for the reduction of the pets persuit speed. My once swift tiger now runs at the pace of a paraplegic hedgehog. :-(

    Guess I'm not the only one who's completly bored of the game now. Being really easy to get into is only good for a while...then things just seem basic compared to other MMORPG's.

    I personally will be going back to FFXI on the 360...mainly because its free, but also its different, challenging and the graphics are great also.

    the FFXI 360 beta is 'free', which was supposed to be out today on the official xbox 360 magazine, but everywhere i went to in town still had the old issue...

    can anyone confirm that the magazine is out today?

    yes yes release the patch a full 24h after its release, wich means, a full 23 hours and 38 minutes after all the wow addicts already have it installed.

    Why is it news when Warcraft gets a new patch but not every other MMORPG out there?

    Just a guess, but maybe because this is one of the biggest patches for the game so far. Also, WoW is the most popular MMOG on the planet.

    My two favorite pieces of this patch so far are 1) updated flight paths and 2) war effort turn-ins for treasure and renown.

    Overall though, I have hit the "Hm...what to do now?" phase of WoW. It may be time to turn my attention to the 25 or so games I collected last year but haven't really played much of.
