Hero Online launches
With various promotions.
MGame's new MMORPG Hero Online emerged from beta this week and is now available to buy.
There's no subscription fee, MGame says, and to help promote it the company's planning a bunch of giveaways and other events within the game world.
For a start, you'll be able to track down "Extravaganza Tickets" hidden with boss monsters, legendary characters and "rogue GMs" who need to be tracked and taken down. These tickets will put you in a draw to win a customised Hero Online PC from iBUYPOWER as well as t-shirts, posters, hats and other memorabilia.
MGame's also furnishing anybody signing up during August with free in-game cash, and also operates a Cash Shop to flog premium in-game items.
Finally, the company reiterated that anybody who took part in the recent open beta need not fear for their characters, because all beta accounts will still work and characters will be intact in the full game.
