Get your car in Test Drive
Hurry up, voting's started!
Atari's "Want To Be A Car Designer?" contest has entered the polling phase - so time's running out if you fancy getting your own dream car design into Test Drive Unlimited, which is due out later this year.
The contest invites novice designers to create an image of their dream concept car and then put it up on the internet for people to vote on. Proceedings kicked off during the furore of E3, and voting closes on July 10th - so if you're not in there already you'd better hurry up.
The rest of you can simply browse the ranks of cars and vote on your favourite - the eventual winner will have their design made up as a proper car in Test Drive Unlimited and receive a handy $2,500 prize money.
Test Drive Unlimited, which mixes offline and online racing around a Hawaiian island, is headlining on Xbox 360 - but is also due out on PC, PS2 and even PSP this autumn.
You can find more details on the contest over on Atari's website.

aww, and there i was thinking that i could perhaps get my 1989 Renault 5 complete with rust everywhere and one hub cap into the game. it does have custom paint though; the original red paint has turned into a particularly appealing salmon pink...
oh well.
