Fight for Freedom
Or rather, Freedom Force, with Digital Jesters' new multiplayer web game. Which is free, by the way.
Digital Jesters has launched a new online game to promote the forthcoming release of Freedom Force VS The Third Reich. It's here.
It features classic FF characters like Tombstone, Blackjack and Minute Man and is free to play. Enter your character name (yes, you can do swearing), pick your attacking and defensive moves and then challenge someone to a fight. It's that simple.
The results will be recorded in a high scores table, and Digital Jesters is offering weekly prizes to the best players for the first month.
Freedom Force VS The Third Reich is the sequel to 2002's original FF game and is being developed by Irrational Games, the studio behind SWAT 4 and Tribes: Vengeance. It sees the famous force traveling back in time to take on the Reich, led by the evil Blitzkrieg. Who's probably not quite as bad as Hitler, we'd imagine.
The game "brings dynamic storytelling, fast-paced tactical role-play, and larger-than-life characters from the comic book pages to the computer screen," says Digital Jesters. It's released on PC on April 19, priced £29.99, and the UK and Scandinavian versions will include a bonus DVD.
