Lost Planet MP demo soon News

Xbox 360 News by Tom Bramwell

3 October, 2006

The Lost Planet: Extreme Condition trailer uploaded to Xbox Live Marketplace during the Tokyo Game Show raises the prospect of another playable demo in the near future.

Having already been the subject of one demo - a two-part single-player effort released during E3, still available now - the game's likely to see its multiplayer component profiled in playable form this winter. Since that's literally what the Marketplace version of the trailer ends on.

Which, given the great reception it's received at Leipzig, the Tokyo Game Show and X06, can be no bad thing. The full game's due out worldwide in January, and marks Capcom's second major Xbox 360 exclusive after the excellent Dead Rising.

For more on Lost Planet, check out the game-page for a preview and interview. You can watch the new trailer on Xbox Live Marketplace (307MB) or on Eurogamer TV.

This game looks ace. Capcom really are on it with the 360. Really smooth, looks good and plays good. I'm sold.

They seem to be one of few companies using the 360s power for stuff other than graphics...though I hope "millions of enemies" isn't the new "millions of pixels"
