Nintendo DS Japanese game list translated

Castlevania, Winning Eleven, Seiken Densetsu, Harvest Moon and others seem to be on their way to the Nintendo DS, judging by a new Japanese games list.

The Magic Box has posted a translation of a Japanese games list for the Nintendo DS, believed to have come from the console's official Japanese website. The list claims that some 72 titles are in development for the dual screen handheld format in Japan at the moment

Amongst the most interesting names on the list are Konami's Castlevania and Winning Eleven franchises, Capcom's Viewtiful Joe, a Seiken Densetsu (Secret of Mana) title and something described as Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicle "New Work" from Square Enix, and a Harvest Moon game.

Other titles that caught our eye included Goemon, Vandal Hearts and Boktai from Konami, and Megaman from Capcom, while Tecmo's Team Ninja has an unnamed title on the list and Namco has apparently pledged an RPG - perhaps a new Tales title.

The list also includes a number of titles and developers previously confirmed at E3 when Nintendo unveiled its initial product line-up. However, the Kyoto-based company has yet to confirm a release date, pricing or launch line-up details for the unit, although we expect to hear more in the near future.

Last week, Nintendo did confirm the official name and design of the DS, and added that "more than 120 Nintendo DS games [are] in development" with more than 100 companies signed up. "Nintendo alone is developing more than 20 titles," the platform holder added.
