RF Online beta test begins
Try out Codies' new MMO.
Codemasters Online Gaming has announced that the beta test for forthcoming massively-multiplayer PC title RF Online will kick off today.
RF Online has already been a big hit in the East, with more than 1 million players signing up since the game's release last year. It's game is said to feature "a unique blend of magical fantasy mixed with futuristic sci-fi action," along with "the most epic battles ever seen in an MMORPG."
Over the next four weeks, 50,000 testers will get the chance to see how the game's shaping up. They'll be able to create a character from one of RF Online's three warring factions - the Bellato Union, the Holy Alliance Cora and the Accretia Empire - and take part in huge battles along with thousands of other players.
If you've already signed up to be a beta tester and have been selected, you'll be contacted shortly. If not, there are still a few places remaining - to apply, visit the game's official website.
RF Online is slated for a full release later this month.

well when they fix the issues it should be quite good fun (ive played it already).
content is a little dry at early levels, but there seems to be plenty to do later on especially if you have a good guild.

Btw I changed sides and classes to a Accretian (the big robots) warrior, and found the game instantly more fun, don't be a Bellato spiritualist its friggin tedious.

how ironic that someone with the name 'Macross' would prefer a race of big robots... who'd have thought

I actually wouldn't mind taking a look at this, it looks like a decent MMO, going to wait for the full game so all the main bugs are ironed out and there's some good word about it overall. I need something since I stopped City of Heroes.
