New official FEAR map News

PC News by Tom Bramwell

1 November, 2005

Vivendi and Monolith have released a new patch for make-you-own-set-piece FPS F.E.A.R., which rocks in at 120MB but apparently doesn't fix more than a few localised issues. Hrm.

Aha! The key to its size is actually the inclusion of a new multiplayer map, and some pre-patching preparation for the release of the SDK and mod tools.

The new map's called Asylum, and frankly that's all we know about it at this point, other than it's a FEAR multiplayer map, which we've already said.

You can download it from Vivendi's website or, you know, a different one.

Already another patch! And all that size for what is effectively a single map (if you aren't intending on using the SDK!

And the irony is that I still cant run the game because of the dvd-protection system :( I had to crack my legit copy to be able to play the game. That sucks!

I tend to do that anyway Bumbuliuz, saves faffing with disks. Course it doesn't help that I have so many unfinished games to play at the moment either.

A novel twist,a developer releasing a patch to break their working game.1.01 gave me problems as well so i'll stick with v1 and at least finish the game.
