New Champ Man mag out March 2nd

Free, world-exclusive look at CM5 as Eidos soldiers on post Sports Interactive.

The latest issue of the Official Championship Manager Magazine will be available from tomorrow, and Eidos is offering the magazine online "totally free-of-charge". [I thought we called those "emails"? -sneezing deputy]

The mag features the first ever screenshots of CM5, competitions, as well as information on "new features and key improvements" and can be obtained by registering at the official website. Those who have already registered will get the mag automatically.

Eidos is bullishly attempting to keep the cash cow brand alive despite the departure of developers Sports Interactive to Sega - who are busy working on Football Manager. Many dev teams, including the mighty EA, have tried and failed to compete with SI's footy management products, so it'll be interesting for all concerned to see how the two competing products fare in the run up to Christmas. It'll be an interesting test case of 'do consumers notice who the developers are?'
