That's certainly the plan, says Miyamoto.

By the time this gets released in 2011 I'd like to think there will have been enough decent games out which come bundled with M+ that it being required wouldn't be a problem.

Wii Sports Resort might even be the single game to put M+ in the majority of homes. Wii Fit and Wii Play have already been mental successes so I dont see why not.

It wouldn't surprise me if Nintendo bundled the MP with Zelda. I guess it depends on how deeply penetrated it's become by the time it comes out (oo-er).

OK, apart from improved motion controlled swordplay, I humbly request the following:

-Voice Acting. Full voice acting would help, but as long as there is more emphasis on it, I'm good.
-Orchestrated Music. Zelda music has always owned, but after Super Mario Galaxy, there is no excuse not to have fully orchestrated soundtracks in Nintendo games.
-RPG elements. Miyamoto wants to change the formula up a bit. How about some character levelling up progression, learning new abilities like combat moves (as usual) but with more magic abilities and stuff.
-Bigger world, more interactive. They should take a page out of Western RPG books when it comes to making Hyrule or whatever.
-More emphasis on story. Zelda games have good plots but they should step it up a little. Proper cutscenes, maybe even FMV!

All this would probably be difficult to implement, so maybe multiple discs are ftw.

I don't mind if they include voice acting as long as it's switched off by default, same goes for levelling. I wonder if the same people who ask for this stuff also complain about the annoying US accents and the endless grinding in the games they play?

Yeah, it'd put a MotionPlus in a lot of homes (mine anyway, at least) and both Tiger Woods and Grand Slam Tennis will both come bundled with one so I'd say there would even be a surplus in a lot of homes by then.

@davisorle
Not unless they're also "kinda" forcing you to buy the next Zelda. :)

It might even come bundled with one.

@wellzy4eva - I totally agree if it's not shown before E3 2010. The big titles have rarely ever made it out in an instant. Just loot at Metroid Prime 3 and Super Mario Galaxy. All came out a year later than Nintendo were hoping and we now have another Metroid and Super Mario game to come but not until 2010 so I can't see a new Zelda being released then as well if it's to be shown next year. The bg titles always seem to take a good 18 months.
To be honest if Zelda: Spirit Tracks was delayed until 2010 it would not surprise me in the slightest!

If they included voice acting people would only complain about the English dub.

They'd probably give everyone American accents as well, which wouldn't suit the setting very well if you ask me. A Dragon Quest VIII-style job would be the way to go.

I don't know if I would like voice acting in Zelda games, especially for Link. Maybe in some imaginary language, or Japanese...

I have no problem buying a motion-plus thing to play a new Zelda at all (even though in principle such a device should be free since it does what the Wii was already advertised to do in the first place!), however, while I have every faith that another Zelda will be excellent, I am concerned about the difficulty of the game.

See, I felt that OoT had a nice balance and challenge, but with Wind Waker I noticed a severe reduction in challenge that also followed-through into Twilight Princess. Don't get me wrong, I still loved both those games (in fact, Wind Waker is undoubtedly one of - if not - the most well designed and best games ever made) but a increase in difficulty would garner better use of the Wii's functionality I think.

It doesn't have to be like Ninja Gaiden, of course, and I understand Nintendo want "casuals" to be able to play it, but surely adding difficulty settings shouldn't be too hard? I would really like to be challenged in the next Zelda instead of barely losing a single heart in the entire game!

Fuck the casual market. Zelda should be made with proper gamers in mind from the get-go. I'd really hate to see them dumb it down or "casualise" it for mums or something.

@ Razorus

FMV is utter gash. All it does is make in game graphics look shit. With the state of graphics these days, who needs development teams wasting time on FMV anyway? Jesus wept.

As for voice acting, it'd take me longer to play. I prefer text-based games to voice-based, unless it's small amounts like in Super Mario Sunshine.

For the first time ever I can honestly say Im not in the slightest bit hyped or interested in an upcoming Zelda title - how sad! Yes it'll probably be good and unique/different, etc, etc, but just like with the announcement of Super Mario Galaxy 2, it all feels a bit "meh". The Legend of Zelda - The Waggle of Meh

I am pretty sure that new challenges and puzzles can be introduced via the addition of Motion Plus, so as long as they integrate it well, I am all for it I suppose.
