Is it me or is the article missing?
  • Kazzahdrane #2 2 years ago

I think this means Europe is never getting the game. Or any other Nintendo title in 2009.

Nice going Nintendo, a blank 2009 is just what we expect of you these days ;)
  • Darren #6 2 years ago

I didn't think Nintendo would have many releases pre-Christmas and that article certainly confirms my suspicions!
  • Cadence #7 2 years ago

LOL. I thought my eyes had gone funny there.
  • Murbal #8 2 years ago

@ jstar - how do I clean this stuff off? ;-)
  • jonthepymm #9 2 years ago

    I'm drawing a blank.

Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story (Nintendo) - 9 October

really? Thought this was end of November.
  • smernicki #15 2 years ago

there's some amount of shite in there...
  • charliemouse #16 2 years ago

A HUGE amount of shovelly shite. Thank god for Super Mario Bros.
  • asphaltcowboy #17 2 years ago

Well I guess I can continue to ignore my Wii for the rest of the year. And my DS as well (bar Zelda). How very depressing Nintendo!
  • PlugMonkey #18 2 years ago

Wii list: Crap, crap, crap, crap, crap, crap, Mario, crap, crap, crap, crap.

DS list: Crap, crap, crap, crap, crap, crap, crap, crap, Zelda, crap, crap.

Business as usual from Nintendo then. Can't wait for a new DS Zelda, mind. :)
  • trip919 #19 2 years ago

I love you Nintendo but….That’s truly (with the odd exception) a pathetic roster of shit. The Snes had an endless array of shining jewels. Will we ever see those days again?
  • Cid #20 2 years ago

It's going to be a Zeldarific Christmas.
  • speedjack #21 2 years ago

I see a lot of crap.

    I don't see No More Heros 2.

    Thanks Nintendo.

    :(
  • kinky_mong #22 2 years ago

@PlugMonkey: You forgot Mario RPG on the DS which according to pretty much every review is an absolute diamond.
  • Chaote-Imagicka #23 2 years ago

  • Pac #24 2 years ago

I am all for "Family" titles. In fact I have a young daughter myself who might play some of this crap in a few years. But seriously this list is shit.

I think Nintendo should have put some kind of warning on the Wii console box stating that it was a childs toy rather than a home entertainment device.

Where is my No More Heroes 2 you basts.
  • knocker #25 2 years ago

Wow Plugmonkey I thought you were being cynical until I looked at the list.

The only saving grace is that those titles would stand out even in good company. Here it just proves how utterly abysmal the rest are ...

Btw - several of these game, like "Girls Life Sleepover Party" will immediately get you put on a "register".
  • FladgeMangle #26 2 years ago

    New Zelda = nice.

No Blood of Bahamut = bollocks.
  • Loser #27 2 years ago

  • el_vicio #28 2 years ago

Are these really European release dates?
So NSMBWii is out pretty much around the same time as in the US?
    F yeah!
  • f00b_inc #29 2 years ago

I think NSMB Wii will be awesome, but if that's it I can't buy a Wii with the prospect of less than a handful of decent games on the way (not at the current price..)

And I'm sure Zelda will be great but overall this is pretty depressing - Terrible list.
  • Cid #30 2 years ago

They said from the word go that NSMBWii would be available worldwide in Q4. It's their big Christmas release.
  • Fab4 #31 2 years ago

I cant fucking wait for 'Build A Bear: Welcome to Hugsville ' ;) :)
  • AliRay #32 2 years ago

    Ugh.

I think I preferred it earlier when the page was blank....
  • erp #33 2 years ago

I remember when people used to bemoan the lack of 3rd party games on Nintendo consoles.

I wish we could have those days back.
  • owl #34 2 years ago

i was going to buy a dsi this week, now i think i'll wait 'til spirit tracks comes out. perfect zelda christmas.

I'm so excited, I nearly blinked.
  • PlugMonkey #38 2 years ago

    kinky_mong & knocker:

I'm not sure there also being a good Mario game on the DS really invalidates the main thrust of my original post. ;)

It really is a pretty depressing list. I'll keep half an eye on the Resident Evil and Silent Hill Wii games, and I'll be interested to know if Blood Bowl DS is any good. Other than that, I imagine we're going to be seeing a lot of TV commercials for Wii Sports and Brain Training this xmas. Again.
  • Paulie_P #39 2 years ago

Am I the only one looking forward to the Silent Hill remake?
  • Adam128 #40 2 years ago

There hasn’t been a good Zelda since Link’s Awakening. FACT.
  • Incarta #41 2 years ago

Better then last year's Q4 list.

"Wii list: Crap, crap, crap, crap, crap, crap, Mario, crap, crap, crap, crap.

DS list: Crap, crap, crap, crap, crap, crap, crap, crap, Zelda, crap, crap."

Lol! Tis funny cuz tis true!

Seriously though, oh dear Nintendo, I know making money is nice, but please show us a bit of the old Ninty magic once in a while. I mean......its been aaaages! Surely your have enough rupees in your tunic pockets by now to show us "core" gamers just the teenyist bit of love?!!
  • MORZTAN #43 2 years ago

Awesome. Just starten completing Phantom Hourglasses again yesterday. MAN that game is ace!!! Apart from the Ocean King temple it is almost perfect!!

    Can't wait for Spirit Tracks!!
  • smelly #44 2 years ago

"Business as usual from Nintendo then"

I hate to break it to you, but that lists consisted predominantly of 3rd party titles - of which nintendo have no control over.

And just because you've not heard of a game or just because a game isnt over hyped game, doesnt mean it's bad.
  • smelly #45 2 years ago

"its been aaaages! Surely your have enough rupees in your tunic pockets by now to show us "core" gamers just the teenyist bit of love?!!"

There are 8 nintendo published titles on that list.. How many games are microsot/sony publishing in the same period? Out of those 8 there are 5 which i consider to be for the "core gamer"

Harvest Moon: Tree of Tranquillity (Nintendo) - 9 October
New Super Mario Bros Wii (Nintendo) - 20 November
Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story (Nintendo) - 9 October
Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of the Sky (Nintendo) - 20 November
The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks (Nintendo) - 11 December

All of those will probably be highly reviewed games (with the possible exception of harvest moon, but i love the series).. So why the bitching?

If 4 (not counting harvest moon) of those get high reviews.. how many highly reviewed games are microsoft/sony publishing this quarter? See?

Actually I dont know why im wasting my typing here ...

  • secombe #46 2 years ago

Somewhat bizarrely, considering I barely manage to get through one game per month, the Wii list looks quite promising for me:

A Boy And His Blob (Majesco) - October
New Super Mario Bros Wii (Nintendo) - 20 November
    PES 2010 (Konami) - Q4
  • smelly #47 2 years ago

Im still not sold on SMB2 after playing it at pax...

Better have a damned good single player mode.

    - but to say that there's NOTHING in there for "core" gamers, or that "nintendo isnt trying" is just fanboy nonsense (especially when compared to wht the other 2 are(nt) pumping out.

    (arf - i said "pumping)
  • Caimbeul #48 2 years ago

Far to many games if you think about it and how many in that list were potentially good games? That to me is just saturating the market with unnecessary software.
  • secombe #49 2 years ago

    unnecessary software

The list is many things, but I don't think you will find much in the way of 'unnecessary' on there, I would hazard a guess that nearly all of them will make money.

thats only two Wii titles... a Wii sequel to a DS game and a niche farming RPG... yeah Smelly, what a bumper Christmas for the Wii...
  • smelly #51 2 years ago

@FenderMaster : The assertion was that nintendo themselves weren't making enough games - and i just showed otherwise.

You're right.. only 4 nintendo published wii games.. How many 1st party microsoft xbox games are there this christmas?

And thats before we get to the 3rd party games.. one boy and his blob looks great alone!
  • Nikanoru #52 2 years ago

Hmm, let's see what looks interesting to me.

    Wii:
    Harvest Moon: Tree of Tranquillity
Drawn to Life The Next Chapter
Dragon Ball: Revenge of King Piccolo
    Juon
    A Boy And His Blob
    Muramasa
    New Super Mario Bros Wii
Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World
    Need for Speed Nitro
    Rabbids Go Home
    Shaun White Showboarding: World Stage
    Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles
    Silent Hill Shattered Memories
    DS:
Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story
Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter
Dragon Ball Z: Attack of the Saiyans
The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks
    Cop: The Recruit
    Star Wars Battlefront: Elite Squadron

I don't know about any of you teenage basement nerds oops I mean "hardcore gamers", but there's no way -I- am going to be able to play all those in what remains of this year.
  • mega7ech #53 2 years ago

Well, after everyones comments and in wrapping up this topic, I think we can all safely agree on the fair conclusion that the Wii = Shit.
  • swissorc #54 2 years ago

I don't know how quickly people get through games but I manage on a good night about 2 hoursa night during the week and about 5 at the weekends (sport and hangover deppending). I'm not sure we need that many games launching every damn week plus wii has a great back catalogue now. Remember Zak and Wiki any one go back and buy it now for 15 quid on play.com no more hero's is cheap now so is little kings story etc. Then you have things such a prime triology, dead space (which I am really liking), Silent Hill (Which, if you are a true nintendo boy is the first incarnation on a nintendo platform) then wii sports resort for playing with mates before going out. I mean I could go on and on and on... But I wont I should do some work or atleast pretend to :-)
  • mostly_harmless #55 2 years ago

    My Amazon pre-order list has...

    October: Scribblenauts
    November: NSMB Wii
    December: Zelda Spirit Tracks

...and between a full time job and a part-time course that's more than enough for me. People's lives are all different of course, but I wouldn't be able to keep up if there were many more games I wanted.

    Just my thoughts.
