    I don't believe in horoscopes.

I understand this is very typical of us Leo's.
  • Golgo #2 3 years ago

I see a short, dark stranger in your future...

He has a moustache and is wearing dungarees...

    ...

    That'll be twenty quid please.

The Today & Tomorrow Channel also offers lifestyle advice based on horoscope readings.

meaning it tells you "buy a proper console"?
  • kangarootoo #6 3 years ago

I predict a new and expensive peripheral will be required in order to fully realise your gaming potential.

So the perceived alignment of balls of burning gas 1000 of billions of miles away from us and each other is supposed to convince me to buy a Wii?

There should be a law against Horrorscopes the people who follow them and especially Russell fuckin Grant

It's good to know that a 12th of the population shares the same destiny as me
  • reelbigkris #10 3 years ago

Introduce the horrorscope. it evaluates how much horror you will be receiving throughout the week dependent on Stephen kings alignment to Jupiter... or some crap like that
  • Collymilad #11 3 years ago

Why are Nintendo ruining the gaming industry?
  • Markusdragon #12 3 years ago

I want a Dave Gorman's Important Astrology Experiment channel.
  • Retroid #13 3 years ago

    I bloody despair.

News, weather, voting, I can understand.... but this?
  • skillian #14 3 years ago

Why are Nintendo ruining the gaming industry?

For the same reason boybands spent the 90s ruining the music industry.
  • chrisy #15 3 years ago

    @Markusdragon
Surely with this channel you can recreate D.G.I.A.E.?
  • kangarootoo #16 3 years ago

Its not really Nintendo's fault. They wouldn't do this stuff if the rest of humanity didn't open their purses for it.

Just like we can't blame channel 4 for the fact that millions of imbeciles like watching 8 nobodys fight each other in what is essentially a Youth Hostel full of IKEA furniture.

I blame the Sun, for being just the right distance from Earth.
  • ChaK #17 3 years ago

that laugh made my day, thx nintendo
  • Razorus #18 3 years ago

    Mystic Meg Party Games ftw
  • JahB #19 3 years ago

They wouldn't do this stuff if the rest of humanity didn't open their purses for it.

They wouldn't do this stuff if they had any pride left.

    Fixed.
  • speedjack #20 3 years ago

Nintendo messing with the occult/supernatural ?

    Next - 'Wii-ja board Party !'

  • kangarootoo #24 3 years ago

I was thinking of the horse riding cushion :)
  • JahB #25 3 years ago

isn't that a bundle? so you can check your skyrocketing pulse rate while playing "my horse and me"?

Well I for one am going to down load it and get what little ounce of fun I can out of it since it's free! But then I don't take gaming to seriously and enjoy how diverse our machine are getting I wonder how many of you Xbox fanboys (and yes I own one too) are going to rant about facebook (can't think of a witty alternative) being on the xbox since that is lets face it a whole of toss too.
As for the PS3 and the slim to bubble has burst already no longer getting one until next year when all their awsome shovelware comes out with the WAND can't wait for HD Bonsai Barber!!

"Nintendo really have cornered the market for idiot housewives haven't they?"

    And what's wrong with that?

"News, weather, voting, I can understand.... but this?"

Does news, weather, sport and random polls have more in common with "gaming" than horoscopes?
  • Octoroc #28 3 years ago

Confirmed: The Wii is an abomination.

"There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch. Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee." Deuteronomy 18:10-12
  • Rpt81 #29 3 years ago

Leo: You will waste time with a pointless application.

Aquarius: You will find your hours stolen by a pointless application.

they used to make kickass games, but that time is over. what's wrong with that is, well, simply put - they stopped making kickass games in favor of taking over the idiot housewives market.

can you see where the disappointment (and subsequent resentment) comes from?

  • samaran #31 3 years ago

woah, you guys are so edgy and radical - i never knew horoscopes were bullshit! thanks for opening my eyes, totally.
  • peterfll #32 3 years ago

"they used to make kickass games, but that time is over"

I don't know, I'm still happy playing Mario Galaxy (second run through) Mario Kart (never seems to age) and still getting down with Wii Sports Resorts. If Nintendo hadn't made any of these games I might be inclined to agree with you... but I'm over the whole "how dare Nintendo go after new markets" rage.

And, BTW, there IS nothing wrong with going after a market that includes housewives.

Do you think Nintendo still make as many good games as they used to?

If you do, then I can understand why you don't see any problem.
  • peterfll #34 3 years ago

Hmm. I've certainly played my Wii less than my GC (and my N64 and my SNES).

But my point is - there's nothing wrong in making the Wii attractive to housewives. And whilst companies are still making games I enjoy playing, including Nintendo, presently I don't predict the end of the world as we know it.
  • skillian #35 3 years ago

Depends what you mean by wrong I guess.

There'd be nothing 'wrong' with Michael Mann ditching movies and deciding to do infomercials instead, but I'd still be disappointed.
  • Goodfella #36 3 years ago

And, BTW, there IS nothing wrong with going after a market that includes housewives.

I'm sorry but there is, it means they concentrate mostly on making shit games for housewives.
  • logicub #37 3 years ago

@Kangarootoo I just signed up to this site so I could add a little plus to your "I blame the Sun" comment. You brightened my dreary second Monday.

I've lost a lot of respect for Nintendo over the past couple of generations, but this news has tipped over the big bowl o' respect and lost what was left in there down the drain.
  • kangarootoo #38 3 years ago

    @logicub

Cheers dude/dudette, I'm flattered. And welcome aboard.
  • peterfll #39 3 years ago

I'm playing devils advocate a little, I know. I'm one of those "owned every Ninetndo console" blah blah people too. I've played every great Nintendo franchise going. But at the end of the day Nintendo are a business and I don't know why that's constantly a shock to other people. There's plenty of great games around? Why so glum? Take your business elsewhere and buy someone else's games instead. Or buy some of the good games Nintendo are still making.
  • Mono_X #40 3 years ago

Nintendo never abandoned the 'self proclaimed so-called hardcore gamers'.
It was the 'self proclaimed so-called hardcore gamers' who abandoned Nintendo.

But now Nintendo have learned how to live without them and make a great profits whilst doing it.
