New title from Total Overdose dev

Faith and a .45 unveiled.

Deadline Games, the studio behind Total Overdose and Chilli Con Carnage, has unveiled its latest project - a shooter for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.

The game is titled Faith and a .45 and is set in the era of the Great Depression. It follows the adventures of Luke and Ruby - "Two outlaw lovers destined to go down in history." They're up against a corrupt oilman and his ruthless bidding-doers.

Apparently the emphasis is on "characters, co-operative gameplay, road movie storytelling and cinematic aesthetics". You can also expect "a dark army of steel-plated vehicles and armour-clad pyromaniacs".

There's no word on who'll publish the game yet, let alone when it'll be out. Faith and a .45 will be shown to "selected publishers" at GDC next month.

Total Overdose and Chili Con Carnage (Best. Game. Name. EVARZ!), are both awesome games, really looking forward to this one!

Oh, and there's a demo of Turning Point: Fall Of Liberty up on the Marketplace for anyone interested...

Total Overdose was indeed as fun as a barrel full of monkeys. Plus, I'm really liking the name 'Faith and a .45'. The developers, whilst perhaps not setting the world aflame with next-next-gen-shiny-shiny-Unreal-3-powered games, clearly have an eye for fun and cleverness. It works for me.

Great news! I loved Total Overdose and i keep meaning to try Chili Con Carnage.
Nice to see them do something slightly different but hopefully it'll have all the quirks and eccentricities of their other games.

    Spicy Move! :)

I thought Total Overdose was brimming with potential, even if the execution was somewhat lacking. I'd love to see a proper sequel with some of the technical issues addressed.

Meanwhile Faith and a .45 is probably the coolest game name in a fair while. Hopefully the game will be up to scratch; presumably it's a Bonnie and Clyde-esque take on the co-op third person shooter trend.

    I'm quietly excited about this.

I've alpha tested this game and I think it looks very promising.
