New Sims 2 expansion

Bon Voyage later this year.

Shocking news, Sims 2 fans! A new expansion pack is being primed for release on PC this September, and will go by the name of Bon Voyage.

The latest in the incredibly long line of add-ons for the 2004 title (is it eight or nine now? We've lost count) will allow players to "whisk their Sims away on exciting trips to discover exotic locations, including the Far East, Rustic Mountaintops, and even a Tropical Island," according to EA's press blurb.

Apparently your Sims will be able to "relax and rejuvenate" in various ways, such as "exploring the culture of the Far East, building sand castles, meditating in the Zen garden after a visit to the pool, and camping with the family on a pristine mountaintop". Reciting The Sound of Music and dancing like a Baboon.

Bon Voyage will allow players to "quickly transform their Sims from bumbling tourists to savvy international travellers". Your Sims will "learn new customs including local greetings and traditional dance". Let's hope they don't send them to Lewisham on a Friday night.

"The Sims 2 Bon Voyage brings so many new experiences and locations to the game, there's almost no end to the surprises that fans and their Sims are going to discover," said EA's Rod Humble. Wicked name, Rod.

EA really are masters of milking a franchise.

who can blame them, if people keep buying it...

I never really got into it tbh, I just found it dull. I love sim city though hope that one day this kind of micro management over your sims would be available for anyone in an entire city. I know they sort of tied the 2 together with sc4, but I mean true integration, the ability to zoom right in and control indivuals lives. Or zoom out and manage the growth and development of a city....

Anyone give me any feedback on City Life, always looked quite good, and I noticed it on steam t'other day?

    POT: Hello Kettle.
    KETTLE: Yup.
    P: You're uh, well you're black.
    K: Yup.

off the top off my head it has been five expansions (Uni, Nightlife, OFB, Pets, Seasons) 3 Stuff Packs (Famly Fun, Glamor Life, H&M) and 3 crimbo editions.
Anyone who wanted to know has known since february.

    @swede:
City Life was all right. It wasn't as polished as Sim City though which put me off.

Another Sims 2 expansion? Boring... but the girlfriend will love it as always.

I think there's already a Sims game that your Sims can play on the computer (amongst other EA licenced games) in The Sims 2.

The mind boggles, do their sims play the sims? Do their sims' sims play the sims?
