I'm sure the engine is technically brilliant and all, but personally speaking, I'm finding the artistic design to be rather uninspired.

I hope there are lots of outdoor areas - that sky is gorgeous!

Maybe it's the booze talking but I'm really starting to warm to Rage...

The booze talking at half past 3! Clearly having a better day than me then :)

Aye this does look nice i've not really been looking forward to it but this has perked my interest a wee bit.

Hello, my name is Rage.

(Pssst not really! I'm Fallout 3 with a driving license!)

That's some ugly Ye Olde shaders on the man in the screenshot with the oddly flat-looking sky.

"id will no doubt make a good engine but the simple reality is they've generally not made a great game for some time now. "

I disagree, I am yet to see a game from them that doesn't give me tons of fun.

Just imagine for a second what Fallout 4 will be like using that engine.

That's not a reality. It's an opinion.

Is it really a problem this is close to Fallout? Fallout is a great game, why would any gamer in their right mind worry about something else that might be similar... I mean there are tons of COD/Fighting/Sports games. I am really starting to look forward to this.

Going by that logic, all games should be variations of existing games in the market. Perhaps that's your utopia, but for me that'd be a dystopia.

Looks fantastic! I can't believe there are TWO games coming out that includes all my childhood fantasies (racing, FPS and RPG molded into a huge, open world). Yay!

As mashk says, great technology, love the resolution of the textures...but it's looking a bit clinical, even out dated.

Where's the soul? The energy? ID's mutant/zombie/monsters look the same in every game now...and we've all seen dune buggies before.

According to ID Rage is running at 60fps across all platforms.
Which is nice.

I personally think this is beginning to look very nice, will be watching much more closely from now on.
