New PAL Releases Roundup
Tekken 6! Wii Fit Plus! DJ Hero! Gay Tony!
What a weekend in prospect! Not only can you come to London and visit the Eurogamer Expo (we'll shut up about it soon, promise), but there are all sorts of interesting games to buy on the way home.
But we might as well begin with one you can buy without even leaving home. Grand Theft Auto IV's second downloadable add-on, The Ballad of Gay Tony, picked up a strong 8/10 review earlier this week and is available now - either on Xbox Live Marketplace for 1600 MSP (£13.60 / €19.20) or as part of the Episodes From Liberty City disc alongside The Lost and Damned.
Your bumbling correspondent heartily recommends checking it out one way or the other, because it's frequently hilarious, but more importantly it also has an explosive-shell shotgun, loads of helicopters and a parachute in it: three of the best things to happen to Grand Theft Auto since the third dimension itself.
Elsewhere in shop land, fans of People's Hero Rafa Benitez can replicate his escapades ('escape' being the operative) in Sports Interactive's superb Football Manager 2010. It's up against EA's FIFA Manager 10 on shop shelves today, but should hold it off. If you're still nervous about where to put your money, we'll have a review of the latter up soon.
PC owners have other reasons to be excited/awake today, too, like the one-week-later release of the thoroughly enjoyable Borderlands, and the online release of Torchlight, the review of which is also imminent.
The same again goes for Tekken 6 from Namco Bandai. While it's out today, we really wanted to check out the online fighting to pit it against Street Fighter IV, and there wasn't even fleeting chance to do that with our review disc, so we're sending an expert pugilist out into the streets to get a proper version and do that. In the meantime, check out our recent hands-on, or pop down to the Eurogamer Expo (sorry) and try before you buy.
Expo Expo Expo (still sorry). Expo! See you there!
Update: Of course, only a fool would forget about DJ Hero, reviewed today, in the rush to get this item done and then catch a train to London. Only a fool!

If you're a stick fan, though you might want to bare in mind that I think the offical stick uses a circular gate. I was playing on an unmodded stick the other day and it definitely had a circular gate. I'm afraid I'd be swapping that out for a square one immediately

Oooh, just a tip. Might be old but I only found out the other day (thanks to Mowgli on the forums), EA store has a few PC titles for a fiver including Crysis Warhead. Bargain!

My copy should arrive today or tomorrow but I still want to read EG take on it (especially on the apparently poor netcode).

Couldn't agree more, don't understand these people who "just can't wait to get this home to play their 'friends' online".
I miss split screen FPS fun!

That is somewhat comforting. I'm not bothered about beating up kids half-way around the world. I just want to beat up my friends who all live within a 5 miles radius of me!

Well, if you're getting the 360 version and you want a free punching bag add me to your friend list (SuburbanMonkey). Although I'm a beat-em-up veteran (and demon on Street Fighter IV) this is the first Tekken I've played since Tekken 2 so I'm not particularly good at the minute.

I thought at least Zombies ate my neighbours had been released today?
