New PAL Releases Roundup
Resistance 2, Sonic, SSFIIT HD Remix.
The end is in sight. It's very visible actually, clambering over us like a poppered-up celebrity chef in the throes of alleged infidelity. To be fair, there are still one or two interesting releases destined for 28th November, like Resistance 2 and, er... Well, we did say one or two.
But in general that's it. There's Prince of Persia and Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon waiting for a go next week, but otherwise everyone's gone to sleep for two months.
Not us though. There's still games to review, like Sonic Unleashed (do you think this ends well? Do you?) and there's Chrono Trigger for the DS to look at on import. It's going to be a bit of a fight between new Fire Emblem and old Square at Christmas, at least for our cartridge slot.
Meanwhile, the PS3 Wireless Bluetooth Keypad allegedly goes on sale tomorrow as well. We had hoped to bring you our impressions of it beforehand, but sadly the pre-production one Sony sent over last weekend didn't work, so all we can tell you is that it has a sturdy clip, looks a bit like a Terminator stingray and has microswitched buttons.
Hopefully we'll be able to elaborate on that soon. In the meantime, give up.

Two comments in and nobody's mentioned anything yet, I'm surprised.

What's the point in having a trial demo that you can't even try on your own?!? :?

Although I'll come prepared to argue about Sonic in the review comments when it eventually pops up

EG missed Super Stardust Portable on the PSP. It's one of the smoothest looking PSP games I have ever seen. It's quite a decent purchase for £6.29.

Sonic Unleashed is utter crap mate. My reviewer friend has been banned from publishing until after it's release. I don't need to tell you what that means I hope. Half the game is these pointless werehog levels where you use your extending arms to kill creatures. No reason is given why a werehog has extending arms or anything logical like that. It's not even clear why sonic is a werehog in the first place. The speed levels are ok but, too few and far between so just as you get into the whole sonic vibe, you turn and have to plod about hitting stuff slowly.
If you have a PS3, then get resistance 2 instead.

I tried it last night, got destroyed by the AI and forgotten how completely crap I was at SFII!! I tried it on my own its worked fine but if you meant about trying it via live? You doesnt need to play against friend locally as it worked ok for me?
EDIT :Woops realised it wasnt the trial demo I downloaded for f**k sake, it was the full purchase option! My mistake!
