Having just lost office-wide productivity for six glorious minutes, I'm a man in a hurry - unlike Harold Ramis, Dan Aykroyd and company, who have spent 20 years not putting out any new Ghostbusters stuff.
Until today, that is, as their surprisingly engaging collaboration with Terminal Reality arrives on PS3 and PS2. The other versions are due out later this year after Sony stepped in to publish the game for Atari for reasons unknown (well, reasons unpublic).
But really if the week belongs to anyone, it's split between two very different extremes: 505 and Bohemia's superlative ArmA II on the PC, and Yuji Naka's percussive Let's Tap on Wii, which surely sum up the diversity of gaming: one's a comprehensive simulation of war from the soldier's perspective, the other's a game where you clap your hands on a cardboard box to make stuff dance and jump.

There's a German patch out for ArmA2 already, which I think UK people can stick on and then set the language back to English. I'll try it when I get home. Needs a beefy PC (first game I've seen released with dual core as min spec, quad core as rec spec!).
Magic is excellent by the way. Well worth a purchase and hopefully there won't be the arms race of bulk-buying cards as was the case in the old days. |

Got Rock Band Unplugged yesterday, really enjoying it
Waiting for a review of Sam and Max before buying that. Other reviews aren't being particularly favourable... |

Very pleased with M:TG.
I've never played it before but the XBLA offering is very polished in terms of features and presentation, as well as being incredibly addictive. |

Unless I am very much mistaken, the UK version already comes with that patch. Bear in mind that the game has been published here in Germany a few weeks ago, and was then patched pretty immediately to 1.01. 1.02 is supposed to be out today, for all versions of the game. |

Where is Ghostbusters 360?
Edit: Game have it listed as coming this october. Am I missing something. Did Sony do something silly like make it a pointless timed exclusive? If so then I hope the studio that made it isn't relying on the game to pay the bills!

Not a timed exclusive per se. The Ghostbuster Euro release got delayed by Atari and Sony stepped in to publish the Euro PS2/PS3 version so as to coincide with the anniversary release of the Ghostbusters movie. |

Been playing GB last night, dont have any issues with the graphics or performance..... so I'm not too fussed by EGs face off (as usual)

Haha, how typical of you to leave out all the important facts! The AA has nothing to do with it. A 540p resolution with an average of 75% texture resolution (some textures at half resolution of the 360 version), combined with a large number of missing assets and effects is what the problem is! Basically the PS3 version looks like a PS2 game. |

is it just me or did farticusmaximus say the ps3 version of ghostbusters looks like a ps2 game he clearly hasn't played the ps3 version when writing that i just completed it after swearing at it a few times when dyeing great game though lol its amazing graphics to say it looks like a ps2 game is the stupidest or the biggest lie i have read on eurogamer ever
