New PAL Releases Roundup

Zelda Trains, woo woo!

Who said 2009 was over? Several times in successive weeks? Me! I did. But apparently I was wrong, because what this week's new releases may lack in volume, they do not lack in quality, and it's all thanks to an old friend with a new means of conveyance. Choo choo!

The Legend of Zelda returns in the 9/10 excellent new Spirit Tracks, in which a source of unspeakable evil (also non-speaking evil, most likely) is bound within the heart of the planet by a network of railway tracks, which are broken down and must be restored by going to dungeons and collecting things and generally having a wicked time on a consistent basis for many happy and friendly hours.

Elsewhere in new-release land there's Q-Games' latest hot little number, PixelJunk Shooter, where you zoom around caverns rescuing men whilst dealing with the competing difficulties of extreme heat and extreme cold.

Otherwise though this year really is over, although Blue Toad Murder Files is out next week, along with the new Trials HD downloadable content, so perhaps it still isn't. Choo choo!

    Woa did I just see some tumbleweeds roll past me!

    Aside from pixeljunk and zelda (neither of which will appeal to anyone without a DS or a PS3) there is nothing out at all!

    @ZuluHero

    When did you order the collector's edition? I asked a sales assistant at GAME yesterday, and he didn't seem to know anything about it (since the collector's edition wasn't advertised in-store). He also said that GAME never received night vision goggles for Modern Warfare 2, although I'm pretty sure that was meant for HMV.

    Be wary of Let's Golf! it's not as good as Everybody's Golf, but it's mini, so expect a 'mini' game!

    @ cerebralbored

    I worked at Game for 3 years and it suprised at how little the rest of the staff (including the management) knew about anything other than the standard editions. I had my sis go and pre-order the tin edition for me from Game (it was on the website at the time) and they hadnt heard of it. From my experience, not many of them are actually gamers, like 1 or 2 members of staff per store.

    also, yay for Zelda. looking forward to the 25th to get my teeth into it, will have to make do with TP i guess :D

    There are people without a DS? Is this a joke post?
